Schuylkill Haven, PA - Cardinal Systems is announcing an important change to its organization. Due to health reasons, Terry Maurer has stepped back from his position as President of Cardinal Systems, effective June 30th. Tim Hawkins, CFO and Vice President of Administration, will be succeeding Mr. Maurer as President of Cardinal Systems.

Terry joined Cardinal in 1997 as CFO and became President in 1999. He was instrumental in strengthening Cardinal’s core values of quality, customer service, and fair pricing. Terry has had a great influence on the company and maintaining excellent relationships within the industry. His impact will be felt for years to come. He will continue to serve on Cardinal Systems’ Board of Directors. He will also act as an advisor and consultant, guiding the company forward with strategic planning, analysis, and market trends.

Tim Hawkins joined the company in 2008 as CFO and had recently taken on greater responsibility as “second in command”. Among Tim’s successes was the introduction of various sustainability and environmental projects, driving the company’s “green” initiatives. He also played a key role in the acquisition of Quaker Plastics. Prior to joining Cardinal, Tim held senior positions at Cytosport, Inc. and Nortel Networks, both in California.

Additionally, Cardinal Systems is pleased to announce the promotion of John Barnetsky to Vice President of Manufacturing. John joined Cardinal in 2002 as a Steel Operations and Shipping Supervisor. Over the years, John’s increased responsibilities led to his promotion to Director of Manufacturing for Steel Operations in 2009. In his new position, John will now be responsible for all of Cardinal’s production including Steel, Coping, Thermoforming, Structural Foam, and Extrusion.
